Many of you may have heard about the new generations of children, called the Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow children.  Or maybe you have a feeling yourself, your child or a loved one is an Indigo, Crystal or Rainbow child.  Perhaps you are guided to read this for Divine reasons.  Below is some information and a guide to characteristics of these generations. 

People often like to put labels on things and one another in order to define or explain characteristics better in society.  All children are psychic and sensitive to some degree.  We are all born with intuitive abilities and have them, many just need to learn how to use them again.  However, those with heightened and developed psychic abilities and sensitivity can cause feelings of isolation and other issues, especially in childhood and throughout adulthood.  It can be difficult to deal with these abilities while growing up if they are not understood and if the child does not have the support that's needed.  These abilities and sensitivities are a blessing and it's important to see them that way instead of fear them.  

Please know we are not deeming or naming any one person as more special than another. 

This is merely a guide.  There are individuals whom are blends also (a mix of generation characteristics.)  Age alone is generally not a good guide, as there are older generations (often called “scouts”) of Indigo and Crystal children as well.  There was not much study or information about them until recently, mainly because of the influx of these children being born.  The following information is a compilation, taken from Doreen Virtues book, The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children; Lee Carroll & Jan Tober’s book, The Indigo Children; and also contributions from Cayce Cole, Lightworker, spiritual forum creator & owner; and Timothy Ellis, Angel Intuitive™,  Lord of Karma, Life Lesson Emissary and spiritual author.

 

Indigo Children: Individuals who are here to bring about the New Age of Peace.  Indigo children are warrior spirits and often psychic, sensitive, natural healers and have an internal lie detector.  They are called "Indigo" because of the Indigo hue in their aura.  They are here to make big changes in the environment, government, and society so that the earth is a place of integrity. The lie detector that they have will help them to bring about these new changes. Indigos require a certain kind of environment to best enhance their gifts and abilities. Some are labeled by society as troublemakers or problem kids.  In addition, Lightworkers can be Indigo but not all Indigos are Lightworkers.

According to Timothy, the Indigo energy form recurres all throughout history, usually after a time of major war.  The Indigo is here with their karma and life lessons active from the moment of birth, and in their face all the time.  

The way Indigos think, talk and act is designed to provoke other people into karmic actions. 

On Timothy's spiritual forum he has stated, regarding karma and the Indigo energy: "If you symbolically think that all people are born with a bank of switches; Some of these are on or off depending on the karma and life lessons of each person. The indigos are born with proportionally more of these 'switches' turned on, giving them a perspective that mainstream society finds difficult to deal with." 

So another important thing for Indigo children to work on is karmic healing.  (Though all of us have karma we need to heal.  We can create karma, positive or negative, just by being here on Earth.) It will help the Indigo to step back from situations where they feel the need to argue or 'be right,' and try to learn from the situation instead, to choose peace so they can heal and evolve even more.       

Here are some signs that you or your child is Indigo:

*Strong willed

* Born in 1978 or later (Please note though that there are MANY Indigo Scouts who were born before this date. Indigos have been here since the beginning of time. So if you feel you are an Indigo and were born before this time, it is a definite possibility. There was just a great influx of these children starting in 1970.)

*Know they are different from others and here for a Divine purpose, even if they are not sure what it is.

*Creative, with an artistic flair for art, music, jewelry making, poetry etc.

*Prone to addictions

*An old soul as if they are 13, going on 43

*Been through harsh life experiences

*Intuitive or psychic, possibly with a history of seeing Angels or deceased people

*An isolationist, either through aggressive acting-out or through fragile introversion

*Independent and proud, even if they’re constantly asking you for money

*Highly energetic, warrior spirits- can also become athletes

*Possesses a deep desire to help the world in a big way

*Wavers between low self-esteem and grandiosity

*Highly intelligent

*Bores easily

*Simply will not do certain things; for example - waiting in line is difficult for them.

*Get frustrated with systems that are ritual-oriented and don't require creative thought.

*They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and at school, which makes them seem like "system busters" - (nonconforming to any system)

*They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often let no other human understand them. School is extremely difficult for them socially.

*May have been diagnosed as having ADD or ADHD

*May have anger and temper issues, though this is what fuels them to make changes in society

*Prone to insomnia, restless sleep, nightmares or difficulty/fear of falling asleep

*Have a history of depression, or even suicidal thoughts or attempts

*Looks for real, deep and lasting friendships

*Easily bonds with plants and animals

 
Crystal Children: These children exemplify what the future of earth looks like. They are peaceful, kind and loving. They are the type of people that the Indigos want to see in this world; full of integrity and truth. They are also here to help the Earth and  humanity transition to the New Age of Peace.  Because of their capacity for telepathic communication they may be labeled as slow or autistic when this is just not the case. The following are some signs that you may have a crystal child or may be a crystal yourself, as quoted by Dr. Doreen Virtues book "The Crystal Children":

Are usually born in 1995 or later but please note that this is a guide, there are many adults who are also crystal scouts and have crystal characteristics. They may also share similar characteristics of the Indigo energy.  Some believe that people can transition their growth from one realm to another. For example: An Indigo can have more crystal characteristics as they get older and transcend to Crystal level, but this is not always the case.

*Possess large eyes with an intense stare

*Have magnetic personalities

*Are highly affectionate

*Start talking late in childhood or really early

*Highly intelligent

*Are very musically oriented, and may sing before talking

*Use telepathy and may use self-invented sign-language to communicate

*May be diagnosed with autism or Aspergers syndrome

*Are generally even-tempered, sweet, and loving

*Are forgiving of others

*Are highly sensitive and empathic

*Are very much connected to and love nature and animals

*Exhibit healing abilities

*Very interested in crystals and rocks

*Often openly discuss Angels, fairies, spirit guides, and past life memories

*Openly discuss seeing spirits and psychic phenomenon 

*Are extremely artistic and creative

*Generally prefer vegetarian meals and juices to regular food

*May be fearless explorers and climbers, with an amazing sense of balance

*Sensitive to planetary and cosmic energy, such as the moon

*Also wise, old souls

Rainbow Children: The best way to describe these children is pure love. Not many of these children exist right now, some have been born throughout the world, but many more will be born soon in the years ahead.  Of the ones that have been observed here are some of the qualities, as quoted by Doreen Virtue:

*Do not have any karma (this means they do not have past life issues to deal with.)

*They have not been here on this earth before

*They are here to purely give and serve humanity

*Communicate mostly telepathically

*Show no fear

*When in their presence, you feel as if in the presence of a master (i.e., Jesus)
